Irish Moss or Chondrus Crispus is used when boiling your wort to prevent a protein haze. Commonly referred to as Copper Finings, it's normally added when flavoring your beer with hops, for example.

Recommended dosage is 1 tsp added during the last 15 minutes of your boil. This will help to clear the beer as the proteins will drop out leaving the wort clear.
