Sadly, this tin of malt extract has passed it's best before date (BBD 10/2023). It will still be perfectly good to use. It will be fine for years to come, but the manufacturers have put a short date on the tins. We have tested a tin and it is still perfect for making an amazing beer. Use it to enhance a beer kit, or you can combine these malt extracts to make your own beer. Just add a yeast and use some hops.

Muntons Wheat Malt Extract is made from British wheat and malted barley that is mashed, sparged and then condensed to this can of Wheat Malt Extract (LME).
The 44% wheat in this Wheat Malt Extract will add extra body, a smooth silkyness and helps create a haze in the finished beer. Great for Craft Beer styles, hazy ipa and German wheat beers
Using it as a base, it has a light, pale colour, gentle malty biscuit tones. There is no bitterness as no hops have been added during the making of the extract.
You can make beer using the Wheat Liquid Malt Extract (LME), or you can add it to your beer kit instead of sugar to give extra depth and body.
If you wish to use Wheat Malt Extract as a base for brewing, this 1.5kg kit will make 20 pints of wort (just add water). Add your hops, then pitch your yeast. Hops and yeast are not included. This is a great way to give your home made beer a twist by adding your own combination of hops, spray malts, sugar, fruits or whatever you want to try. It just avoids having to start completely from scratch!
You do not have to boil the wort, but if you wish, you can boil your hops in a litre of water and then add the hop flavoured water to the kit. This will add a smooth bitterness when making traditional real ales.
