You don't need to sanitise the oak as it naturally kills bacteria.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUse from 25g to 50g depending on how strong you want the oak flavours.  Due to the small size the oak flavours are imparted quickly. Contact time will depend on the intensity of you that you desire.  1 week to 4 weeks is normal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe recommend putting the oak chips in a sterilised straining bag for easy removal once you hit the desired level of oak aromas and flavour.
