7 Day Wine Kits

You may be surprised, but most wines finish the initial part of their fermentation in around 5 days.  It's then usually a long process of waiting for them to clear before bottling.  The 7 day wine kits speed up the clearing process using finings.  This causes all the sediment suspended in the wine to clump together and sink to the bottom leaving a lush clear wine above.

Once these 7 day wine kits are clear they are ready to drink and they taste ok. But, if you bottle them and lay them down for a month (ideally 2-3months) to condition, the flavour will improve greatly and you will have a good tasting wine.

There are wines kits in the 7 day wine kits to suit a range of budgets.  If you kit calls for you to add sugar, then choose your sugar wisely, as sugar from the supermarket can make you finished wine sweet.  Usually a 50-50 mix of supermarket sugar & brewing sugar gives a good result.
